Old LS Starrett Machinist Toolmaker Square No. 457 (USA)

Description

An old, small Starrett Starrett Machinist Toolmaker Square No. 457.

The rule is adjustable by sliding the rule and also by changing the angle of the rule.

The tool is marked ‘No. 457, The LS Starrett Co, Athol, Mass, USA’.

This tool came from an old toolmaker.

Stock Height: 2″ approx.

At the time of listing this I have only managed to find one other example of the Starrett 457 and that is for sale for 130 so we believe quite a rare tool.

This tool also comes with a few other non-Starrett 457 related bits including an old Eclipse counter / coin, small bits of rule with fine measurement and a grooved, angled straight edge.

These tools all came from the same owner and were housed in an old Moore & Wright box.
