A lovely old Moseley wooden smoothing plane with a steel sole.
The front nose is marked ‘John Moseley & Son, 54-55 Broad St, Bloomsbury, London’.
The cap iron is marked ‘Moseley & Son, Warranted’.
The plane iron looks like it is marked ‘I&H Sorby, Sheffield, Warranted Cast Steel’.
Length: 6 1/2″
Condition: a split to side of plane by wedge/blade (very common on these planes), see photographs for condition.
